Busy, happy,& working on healthy! Count your blessings this weekend :o)
OK this is going too fast already...where did yesterday go? And that's how it is this time of year isn't it...here's what when on in my little fat book yesterday.
I can't say too much here because someday someone little might actually read this! But you know what I'm talking about (wink wink). I used a Maya Road bingo number & covered it with picket fence glitter & I also had these little Making Memory tags in my stash. If anyone knows where to get more, let me know...I loved them! The ornament behind was Melissa Frances. I loved her stuff this year:o) The Hambly transparency was so pretty I left it blank added this picture.
Every year we order grapefruits & oranges from our school band & every year they seem to get better and better. We have a cold room now so we also seem to be adding an extra case every year as well... This year we are at 5 cases of grapefruits! Trust me, we will eat them ALL, no worries there! This is definitely the sign for us that December is here...heavens knows when the snow might come... (Oh, I fixed the sticker after I took the pic) Happy day.
Here we go!
This is before pics & journaling...hopefully I'll have that for you tomorrow!
Do you not just LOVE the buttons??? I so love this Daisy D paper & have been hanging on to it for a couple of years. They are the first company I fell in love with when I first started scrapbooking. I think it's because so many of their designs were from fabric designers. I really miss having them around. So on with the show! Here are the inside pages...
This will be the table of contents or maybe the top ten of the month...Haven't decided yet?!? Welcome Dec1st ( can you believe that it's here?) This is the empty version.
I've done my journaling already but I haven't printed my picture/s... we'll get to that later... There is a Busy schedule ahead so lets get this season rolling! Happy day:o)
wasn't so sure, as a matter of fact, he was surprisingly timid of this little pup. Sorry Diesel, size just doesn't seem to count here: little dogs always end up being the boss! Zoey is awfully cute, don't you think? I love her "Eore like" droopy eyes... The kids will be busy now! So I took" Vita" out for a test drive last night... Nooooo NOT A HARLEY... (surely you know me better than that!)
Just to Kingsport & back...oh my, I think I might have another fun activity to add to my already full life! Bill was so good to us at Valley Stove & Cycle. hum-mm, we got new bikes there almost 20 years ago...I wonder where they went?!? Oh well, Here's to Swimming, Running & Cycling... Only ONE of which I would even remotely call myself an "athlete" at (wink wink). On that note, I'd better get my sneakers on & try that 5K aound the block again on my feet... I have a LOT of work to do before I can say I run! Happy Day
First: for you Scott...Mom & Dad going to Between the Bushes for supper! We stopped at Melissa & Stephens for a photo op... Alex just shakes his head...I'll never be a "BikerChick" but I have to confess I do love the sound this little baby makes :o)
Second: I FINISHED these, all twelve of them
Here's a closer look...
and because I had a little extra fabric, I made this to go on the "Lazy Susan".
Clever huh! So I know I haven't done a great job at reno updates, Here's a pic of my favourite light fixture and of course it's in the dining room!
Do you think Kal will enjoy sitting around here eating good food & listening to the "tales" of family life on the farm? I can't wait for that day to come...
One thing is for sure... we'll both have our share of Reno tragedies to share (wink wink)
Third: Blake joined me on my running adventure & today we broke 40 minutes for our 5K run/walk! Another week & I'm sure He'll leave me in the dust & I'm OK with that... Wow, it's fun getting a few things finished around here...whats next?
Wait until you see this little work in progess, on to a baby quilt & lets get some scrapbooking done! Happy Day :o)
Every time I say I'm going to spend the day sewing, life just keeps getting in the way... I hope I can finish it before he out grows his crib Lol! I am the QUEEN of starting projects, so I might just as well get used to it instead of beating myself up all the time... maybe I'm a little ADH (probably, although I do know how to "do nothing" quite well too ( wink wink!) I've almost finished these place mats...
Busy busy busy. Just the way we like it! Fathers Day came & went in a flash however, we managed to capture a glimpse on camera...
Grand babies are such great little treasures to have around (lucky lucky
me)... Monday we had a little coffee party to celebrate all that is
Cole & in his usual flair, he had us all "ohing" & "ahing"... I
just feel so incredibly blessed to have him in my life almost every day
:o)
There really is nothing quite like being a Nana... This Nana has been trying to get her act together on the fitness front. After all, Good health is eating & MOVING. I am trying to keep moving every day. Monday was week 3 of hanging out here...
I wonder if Ali feels the same way about being back in the pool as I do? After I get wet (I hate that part), as I'm moving through the first 50 meters of my favouite color in the whole wide world, I ask myself over & over "how did I ever leave"...It's such a big part of who I am...It's like I've found a long lost friend, really, it just feels so darn good. Then there is the step two part...
Trying to RUN... This was yesterday & It wasn't quite as bad as I thought. We generally WALK 5 K when we're on a roll but as with everything, it's just so easy to fall off the wagon. So, It was run two telephone poles: walk one. The joy of living in the country is you never quite know how long the distance between those poles will be. The good news? I did it! Today I FEEL like I did it. We'll have to work on that! Next item on the agenda? I'm going to shop for a bike. (NOT a Harley thankyouverymuch). I am excited.. I'm not sure I will EVER enter a triathlon, but you never know, just sayin' (wink wink) Happy day:o)
to you...
This is my all time favourite war picture... He was the very best Dad...imagine, Dad is making doughnuts on an open fire... like father like daughter: I was just whipping up a batch of bird seed squares this morning, have you ever tried them?
One little square is healthy , after that, your on the dangerous road to a pig out!!! Anyway, Two more terrific Dads...
(they really are having fun in a "Sarsfield" kinda way lol!!!) "Smile", you're in Bermuda!!! So, how about a big shout out to our peep Taryn for inviting us to this great celebration last night! Congratulations to both of you! Can you guess who the amazing designer is?
I am so lucky to call her a friend...really, she ROCKS our world! As for today?
I'm sure He'll be happier after the blinds are hung (wink wink)! Our day won't be complete without a visit from this little guy
I can hardly wait :o)
Oh Happy Day
