As most of you know I am a big fan of Ali...I can identify with her on so many levels which is a little bit strange, considering the ginormous age difference! The post on Wednesday came at a perfect moment. I had also recieved a facebook message from another inspiring person and I took it as a sign to go here
My first visit back here was in 1996 after a 20 year hiatus. Then I left again in 2005... and now ? back again. I still don't understand how you can love doing something SO MUCH and then just let it go. It happens with SO MANY things, like eating healthy. It makes you feel good inside & out & yet there's always something to derail your efforts...this is my life. I found this quote a few weeks ago & I love it. it resonates with my very soul.
“Getting started, keeping going, getting started again—in
art and in life, it seems to me this is the essential rhythm.” I don't remember who said it but it really does sum up the last 54 years. So, I am embracing the getting started life again :o)
The second thing that happened last week was getting back to real scrapbooking... I have so many stories I want to tell, especially about this little guy...
However I have been so busy trying to create the "perfect studio" that even making minibooks was becoming a challenge. I was curious as to when I actually completed a page...or even bigger, when was the last time I printed off any of my photos...oh my, after talking to Ria & my friend we all realized it has been quite awhile...quite a LONG while... So, Melissa has been very busy helping me orgainze my photos on ONE computer bewteen looking after Cole & setting up her own photos...
Thanks to Josee & Melissa, I also got my butt in gear to finish designing this little project
& I feel so much more READY to tackle the next item on my list. The first thing I have to do is ...make that list!
I have been a horrible blogger but it just seems busy here all the time. Our season is 3 weeks earlier than an EARLY so Blake is wishing he had organized his labor & had all the equipment ready before we hung out here.
Oh well... it was a great trip. We had beautiful weather, spent a week together with these fun people!
and saw so many white roofs on top of such brightly painted stucco homes in my favourite colour, one couldn't help but smile everyday :o)
& now I must be off... there's just too much to do! Ileave you with this little project I have been working on.
Life is full of Busy. Happy Day everyone.
I'm off to shower, pick up lights, a consumers meeting, show the painters what to paint, find some stain AGAIN to try & match the kitchen floor, meet the electricians, do laundry, get some clean eating groceries, work with carpenters to plan more in my studio, get some photos to put in this little book take some reno update pics.
It's going to be a busy Happy Day...
