An amazing Artist....

I was recently reminded that my Aunt Mackie turned 98 this week. Don't you think that is amazing???? She is a Painter (which until recently that was my definition of an Artist!). Melissa Maxine is her namesake. I have such fond memories of our times together with family, and my Dad always said I was very much like her...Lucky me :o) . She has a very talented daughter Brenda who is so very creative , it's always fun to "hook up" with her to see what new thing she is playing with! ( the bracelet photo I have on my blog is made up of bracelets HAND BEAD CROCHETED by her. They are such works of art & it's an honor to have one.)

Img_9984Specking of Melissa, She Ria & I have many projects to finish from Moncton plus lots of new stuff to play with. We will be in the Barn this Saturday afternoon if you'd like to visit. Just let us know if you want to scrap that day, there is lots of room!

Our Tea Bookclub met last night & as usual Angie had us all laughing. She commutes from quite a distance so my hat goes off to her for making the effort .

I'll have a recipe with photo later this week, until then Cheers!

It's so great you have such a close relationship with your family. I like the part of being able to gain an appreciation for all of their talents and to understand them from an adult's perspective. It's because you've made the time to stay involved with them. Here's to all of the women who have helped make us the women we are today!

Your such a sweetie!!! I was so happy with the surprise from you and Ria. Your generosity never amazes me...you too are awesome!
I showed Kent and he said, "you have really great friends,Angie" and I agree...thanks girls for being my friends!!! love ya both!

Hi Paulette,

I've been missing you! Love the bread recipe. It reminded me of the many loaves I have made in the past and then took me back further to when I would come home from school to the wonderful smell of freshly baked bread. There is nothing like THAT smell is there.
Looking forward to seeing all of my BC friends on the 22nd!
